South Pittsfield, NH - Lucia A. Metcalf, 94 of South Pittsfield, passed away peacefully at home on the family farm on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

She was born on July 1, 1931, in Boston, MA; daughter of the late Veasey and Margaret "Boo" Peirce. Lucia was educated in the local schools and furthered her education by receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where she belonged to the Sigma Kappa sorority. Her degree was in Animal Husbandry.

Over the years Lucia held many titles from Dairy Farmer, Teacher, Realtor and finally a Florist at Sandy's Flower Box in Pittsfield, NH. She was a hard worker while still having time to be a great wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She looked forward to Sunday Family Dinners on the farm complete with homemade ice cream enjoyed by all, tending to her garden, visiting Daytona Beach, FL every year while still having time to be involved with the First Congregational Church in Pittsfield as a member of the choir. She was a member of the Eastern Star as well as the South Pittsfield Community Club.

Besides her parents, Lucia was predeceased by her husband, Paul E. Metcalf Sr. in 2017.

She is survived by her four children, Susan V. Elliott and her husband Pete, Sandra A. Osborne, Paul E. Metcalf, Jr. and his wife Jill and Roger E. Metcalf and his wife Tina all of South Pittsfield. Grandchildren, Christine M. Elliott, Jennifer F. Elliott, Wesley R. Osborne and his wife Sarah, Kate L. O'Dougherty and her husband Jake, Paul E. Metcalf, III, Kelsey M. Mullaney and her husband Andy, Briahnna N. Hawes and her husband Cole. Great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Olivia, Evan, Luke, Faith, Elena, Teddy, Tanner, Brinley and Adalynn.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5PM-7PM at the First Congregational Church, 24 Main St, Pittsfield. A Funeral Service will be held at the church on Saturday, September 6, 2025, beginning at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the S. Pittsfield Community Club, 444 Dowboro Road, Pittsfield, NH 03263 or to Victory Workers 4-H Club, 615 Dowboro Road, Pittsfield, NH 03263.
