Migiziikwe, Luciana Sam, was born on January 15, 2008, in Onamia, Minnesota, to her parents, Royce Sam Sr. and Sonya Castaneda. She was attending Nay Ah Shing High School and participated in many Sweat Lodges. Luciana liked to FaceTime her siblings and friends and listening to music. She loved being with her cousin, Delilah, and friend, Envy, as they did their makeup and nails together. Luciana enjoyed hanging out with her dad, where they would take long walks together, and being with her grandma and aunties.
Luciana is survived by her parents, Royce Sam Sr. and Sonya Castaneda; sisters, Keira Sam, Naomi Sam, Reyale Sam, Remy Cash, Daisy Helmin, Carmelena "Alex" Mitchell; brothers, Royce Sam Jr., Patrick Johnson, Mateo Mitchell; grandparents, Lorraine Sam, Terrance (Lorna) Smith, Patricia Castaneda; aunts, Crystal (Matthew) Sam, Teresa (Randall) Sam, Clarissa Smith, Michelle Castaneda, McKenna Bruce; uncles, Gordon (Mary) Sam Sr., and Preston (Shay) Smith Sr.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Charlie and Clara Sam, David and Mable Smith; uncles, Terrance Sam Sr., Dylan Sam Sr., Coleman Weous; cousins, Amelia Sam; great-aunts, Karen Sam, Darlene Sam, Janice Sam, Brenda Nayquonabe, Kathleen Littlewolf, Micha Castaneda; great-uncles, Dennis Sam, Ronald Smith, Rodney Smith; and many loving relatives.
