Lucile Warner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel on Feb. 17, 2025.
Lucile Arlene Warner, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home on February 16, 2025. Born at the family farm on Bennington Road in Vernon Township on January 4, 1927, she was the third child of George Augusta and Cora Lily (Potter) Luchenbill.
Lucile graduated from Durand High School June 6, 1946 and worked at Buick in Flint, Michigan, before marrying her love and life time partner, Edward G. Warner, on September 24, 1946. Together, they built a home and raised their family in Durand, where she created a life filled with love, hard work, and cherished traditions.
An avid gardener, Lucile found joy and purpose in tending to her gardens throughout her life. She had a passion for canning and food preservation, sewing, quilting, and playing cards with friends. Her greatest joy came from gathering family around the table for holiday meals, where her warmth and love were always felt.
She is survived by her children; Larry (Linda) Warner, Gary (Gladys) Warner, C. Michael (Kelly) Warner, Mary (Mike) Stone, and her daughter-in-law, Karen Warner.
Lucile was a proud grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her husband, Edward George (EG) Warner; sons, Jerry Gene Warner and Terry Lee Warner; and siblings, Albert Luchenbill, Wyman Luchenbill, and Betty (Luchenbill) Assman.
Lucile's love, kindness, and devotion to family will forever be cherished by those who knew her. A service to honor her life will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel on Tuesday, February 25th, at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Lucile's name to Robert Kerr Elementary for their library fund.
