Lucille Elizabeth Apodaca (Romero) went to be with Our Lord Monday December 15th of natural causes. Lucille was born February 9th, 1930, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Abelicio and Catalina Romero.

She graduated from St. Mary's High School. In 1950 she met and married Justo P. Apodaca and remained married to him

until his death in April of1965.

Lucille worked on Kirtland Air Force Base for over 30 years in a civilian capacity. In retirement, Lucille traveled to tour parts of Europe and Canada. She also spent time supporting her grandchildren in their sporting events and hobbies. Lucille enjoyed being of service to her neighbors and community. She donated her time to house sit, babysit and drive elderly to appointments.

Lucille never met a stranger and would include family and acquaintances alike in her daily prayers. Lucille was a devout member of the Roman Catholic Church and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her beloved children, daughter Karen Feeney and husband Dennis, son Martin and her beloved grandchildren Aaron Feeney, Dennis Feeney Jr. And Justin Apodaca. She will be greatly missed. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.

Praying of the Rosary will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church 9:30am Saturday January 24th with the funeral Mass directly following.

We met Lucille at Fountain Hill. She had so much support from her family. My mom's name is Lucy. We called them tocayas.
Our condolences to Lucille's family. Her face would light up when her family would come and they came often. Descanse en Paz, Lucille.
