Age 88, of Warsaw, NY died peacefully on October 31, 2025 after a long life devoted to faith and family.
Beloved wife of 68 years to Thomas A. Breslin, she is survived along with her husband by her children, Vincent (Pam) Breslin, Kent (Jody) Breslin, Kathleen (James) Frantz and her grandchildren, Megan (Tommy Brattigan) Breslin , Katelynn (Stephen) Ellison, Claire Breslin, Joseph Breslin, Emily (Patrick) Stuff, and Julia Frantz.
Lucy was born on March 23, 1937 in McKeesport, PA to Edward and Catherine Ashton, the youngest of 12 children; she grew up in Pittsburgh and Petersburg, PA. After marrying Tom on December 27, 1957 they eventually settled in Warsaw, NY to raise their family.
Lucy worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Clifford Harville in Warsaw, NY. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, antiquing, painting and baking. She was known for her delicious banana bread and apple pie.
She took great pride in her Irish heritage, may her bold spirit and sharp wit be remembered with a smile and a story.
A private celebration of life will be held for Lucy. No public services. Arrangements are being completed by Robinson and Hackemer Funeral Home, Warsaw. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lucy’s name are greatly appreciated and may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at donorservices.alz.org.
