AIKEN, SC - Lucille Redd Enloe, 87, passed away peacefully on February 26th, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family. Lucille was born February 2nd, 1934 to Lonnie and Nell Redd of Vaucluse, SC. She is survived by her husband, Harold Enloe, her children: Michael Enloe, Pamela (Neil) Winter, and Sherri (Eric) Wilson, six grandchildren: Matthew, Darby, and Andrew Winter, and Zachary, Hannah, and Natalie Wilson, and five siblings: Juanita Watkins, Wilbur Redd, Dorothy Scott, Geraldine McDaniel, and Barbara Togneri. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Evelyn McGahee, and brother, Alonzo Redd. Lucille’s faith and devotion to her church and her family were a defining aspect of her life. She was a mother who embraced all who walked through her front door. She never knew a stranger and so enjoyed meeting people. Friendships came easily to her - in no time she was like that of a life-long friend. Those that knew her knew a love that was unconditional and unwavering. She exemplified kindness throughout her life, compassionately assisting others in times of need. She volunteered for a number of years at Helping Hands and delivered meals for many years with Meals on Wheels to people in need in her community. She was the epitome of Southern hospitality, exuding charm and grace. She enjoyed preparing a fine meal and spending time around her table with family and friends. Often she was the center of attention at these meals - her skills as a storyteller on full display. Her laughter was contagious and unforgettably joyous. Most of all, as a woman of enduring faith she walked the straight and narrow through the triumphs and challenges of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aiken Senior Life Services, 159 Morgan Street NW, Aiken, SC 29801. The interment will be a private graveside service due to the current COVID restrictions. SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC, 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC 29801.
