Lucille Golden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home - Farmington on Sep. 23, 2025.
Lucia was born into a large Italian family in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It was there that she met John Golden. When John returned home from overseas at the end of World War II, he joined Lucia and they were married on August 25, 1945, in Pennsylvania.

Lucia and John moved to Michigan, and they initially lived in Detroit. They soon moved to Dearborn Heights, however, where they raised their three children.

Lucia was a devout Catholic who regularly attended Church until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens. Lucia was an expert baker and excellent Italian cook. Her recipes, especially her sauce, are the best and enjoyed by family members today.

Lucia was loved by her family and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her cherished children, John (Clarice) Golden, Jean, and Jane (Steve); her loving grandchildren, Lisa (Fred), Ronald, Kathy (Joe), Matthew, Marc, and Peter; her adored great-grandchildren, James (Audrey) and Austin; and her dear great-great-grandson, little Oliver. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Golden.

An entombment will take place on Saturday, September 27, at 12:30 pm, with family and friends gathering at the front gates of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A motorcade will lead the automobiles to the Rotunda Chapel for a committal prayer service.

Please keep Lucia in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
