Lucille M. "Lucy" Henseler, age 75, Marshfield, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Jared Clements officiating. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will take place in Corpus Christi Cemetery. The visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Lucy was born on February 9, 1949, in the Town of Wood, Wood County, to Edward and Mary (Redmond) Weinfurter, and attended Pittsville schools. She was united in marriage to John C. Henseler on April 24, 1971, at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville.
Before her marriage, Lucy was employed at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory. Later she worked at Ocean Spray, Cranberry Company and then worked in housekeeping at Marshfield Convalescent Center and then Stoney River Assisted Living until her retirement. In addition to raising her own family, she babysat, cared for and raised many other children. She was very loving and accepting, demonstrating her unconditional love and was a second mom to many.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John, and their children, John (Laurie) Henseler, Tammy (Joel) Frisch, Marie Lynk (Will Severns), and Bryan Henseler. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kassie, Nia, Rames, Trista, Woodrow and Samantha, and two great grandchildren, Kacella and Komeha. She is further survived by siblings, Patricia Sweich, John (Liana) Weinfurter, James (Sally) Weinfurter, Dorothy Karl, Mary (Greg) Ely, Eileen (Keith) Prust, Edward Weinfurter, Raymond Weinfurter (Ron), and Diane (Mike) Charneski, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Weinfurter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael in infancy and a brother Joseph Weinfurter.
