Jane A. Koenig

Jane A. Koenig, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025 at House of the Dove, Marshfield. She lost a brief battle to acute myeloid leukemia.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. There will be a gathering for family and friends starting at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Fr. Todd Mlsna will officiate. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Columbarium, Marshfield.
Jane Alice Koenig was born on May 22, 1942 in Marshfield to Joseph and Alice (Peterson) Thums. Jane was a 1960 graduate of Columbus High School, Marshfield. She then attended Milwaukee Accredited School of Beauty Culture. She was the owner of Fashion Flair Beauty salon for 45 years.
On October 3, 1964, she was united in marriage to Michael Koenig at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. She was a long time member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women. Her life focused on family, friends, and the love of travel.
Jane is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mike, and their children, Michele (Dr. Randal) Wojciehoski of Stevens Point, and Jason Koenig of Edina, Minnesota. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kasia Wojciehoski and Jozef Wojciehoski, Stevens Point and Evan Koenig, Edina. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tim Thums.
