Lucille Stockdale Morgan

Lucille Elsie Michehl, the daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Mahnke) Michehl, was born April 26, 1920 in Webster County, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth. On January 30, 1939, Lucille was united in marriage with Thomas Stockdale at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vincent. To this union 16 children were born. Tom died September 11, 1980. The couple made their home on a farm in the Thor, Vincent and Eagle Grove area. They later moved to Eagle Grove. Lucille married John Morgan December 30, 1995, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. He died December 8, 2003. Lucille was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, baking and cooking. After raising her family, Lucille worked at the Eagle Grove Memorial Library with children's programs, Rotary Ann Nursing Home in the kitchen, sold Stanley Home Products and cared for elderly people in their homes. Lucille passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove at the age of 93 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Tom and John; son, Danny Stockdale; daughter, Betty Rasmussen; brother, Marvin Michehl; son-in-law, Clint Hill; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Stockdale; granddaughter, Kristie Hill; two grandsons, Mitch Stockdale and Kevin Rasmussen and two great-granddaughters, Geanie Marie Soma and Quinn TerHorst. Survivors include her children, Eugene (Linda) Stockdale of Fort Dodge, Robert Stockdale of Duncombe, Jim (Jan) Stockdale of Carlisle, Joyce Hill of Eagle Grove, Jerold (Robin) Stockdale of McVille, ND, Ken (Pam) Stockdale of Mason City, Connie McConnell of Des Moines, Diane (Doug) Terwilliger of Otteson, Luann (Tom) Brickei of Ankeny, Doris Madson of Eagle Grove, David Stockdale of Milwaukee, WI, Marcia (Tim) Sadler of Eagle Grove, Tim (Linda) Stockdale of Lewisville, TX and Mark (Kris) Stockdale of Eagle Grove; 129 grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren; sister, Esther Springer of Northwood; son-in-law, Tony Rasmussen of Lodi, CA and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:30 Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
