Lucille H. Perry, age 96, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mrs. Perry was born September 21, 1928 in Bacon County to the late Daniel Harvey Hartley and the late Mattie Estell (Gordon) Hartley. She worked for the Appling County Board of Education as a school bus driver and was a member of the Baxley Church of God. She loved going to gospel sings, loved fishing, flowers and loved her family unconditionally. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Perry; sons, Curtis Dale Perry and Joey Bill Perry; and sons-in-law, Bruce Wolfson and Rodney Murphy.

Survivors include daughters, Melba Jean Murphy and Carolyn Wolfson both of Baxley; sons, Kenneth “Pebo” Perry of Baxley and Vanzel (Gail) Perry of Surrency; sister, Bonnell (Gene) Doyle of Baxley; brother, Eddie (Ann) Hartley of Lyons; and seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Church of God with Rev. Lamar Lee, Rev. Mark Griffis, Rev. Danny Horne and Rev. David Deen officiating.

 Interment will follow in Zion Church of God Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Perry, Byran Perry, Shawn Murphy, Stephen Wolfson, Caleb Perry and Rocky Pittman.

Honorary pallbearers will be all friends in attendance.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
