Lucille Noland Rinehart

Lucille Noland Rinehart, 97, of Richmond, Va., is in the arms of Jesus, having left this earth on September 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her only son, Charles R. Rinehart Sr.; her parents, Grover and Ida Noland of Haywood County, N.C.; sister, Edna Watkins (B.W.) of Hampton, Va.; brother, Robert L. Noland of Newport News, Va.; and devoted nephew, Phillip Watkins of Hampton, Va.

She is survived by ; grandchildren, Charles R. Rinehart, Jr. (Shena) of Massillon, Ohio, and Denise Collins (Scott) of Cairo, W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Desperado (Storm) Hiley, Scott Collins II (Paxton), and Clay Jobes; great-great-grandchildren, Ava Hiley, Emogen Collins, Brylee Collins and several others; several nieces and nephews, including devoted nieces, Frances Michie and Carole Denton; extended family and friends; and Phillip Collins, who Lucille thought of as a son, and who served as caretaker, singing Christian songs and watching Christian programs daily with her, and her companion in Christ for the last six months of her life. He brought her so much joy.

She was born in Applalach, S.C., and as a baby, her family moved to Westin, N.C. After finishing school in N.C, she came to Hampton, Va., and became employed by C & P LELCO of Virginia. She met and married Clyde A. Rinehart and moved to Richmond, Va., and retired from Bell Atlantic Co., now Verizon, after 39 years. She was a volunteer at McGuire Veterans Hospital for over 20 years. Lucille was a member of Evangel Assembly of God. She also worked at 5100 Monument for many years.

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday September 23, 2025, at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. A graveside service will follow at 12 p.m. in Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd.
