It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lucille M. "Penny" (DeCaro) Rinere, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 28, 1937, in Rochester, New York, to the late Louise and Armand "Norm" DeCaro. Lucille dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a social worker. She also served as a day care teacher, and parent liaison, at Small World Nursery and Kindergarten touching countless lives through her compassion and commitment to children and families. She was actively involved with the Society for the Protection and Care of Children (SPCC) in Rochester, New York.

Lucille was a devoted Catholic and held church affiliations with St. Joseph's Church in Penfield, New York, and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. She was a longtime parishioner at both churches and remained actively involved in her faith community. At St. Michael's, she participated in the Women's Club, Zoomers, (Our Lady of Lourdes Church), classroom volunteer at St. Joseph's Church/School and Winding Creek Ladies Luncheon and was Winding Creek Condo vice president, where she built many lasting friendships. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School, Nazareth Academy High School, and Graduated from Nazareth College in 1959.

DeCaro; her late brother-in-law, Joseph C. Rinere; and her late former son-in-law, Gregory J. Bileschi. Lucille is survived by her beloved children: her son, Frank J. Rinere Jr. (Karlie); her daughters, Michelle L. Bileschi (Frank) and Christine M. Buff (Esco). She is also survived by her brother, Ralph J. DeCaro; her sister-in-law, Mary Rinere; 1 nephew Joey, 4 nieces Joanie, Judith, Sue and Therese, many cousins and friends, 11 cherished grandchildren Brooke Ramos – Russell (Daniel), Emily and Nicolas Rinere, Zachary (Nicole) Bileschi, Alyssa Bileschi, Amanda (Mark) Creathorn and Tyler Bileschi, Jeremy (Brittany) Buff, Victoria, Alec and Cory (Ashley) Buff and 7 great-grandchildren: Samuel Ramos- Russell, Aubriella and Milania Bileschi, Gregory Creathorn, Harlan, Braxton and Peyton Buff.

With deep gratitude we thank Nicolette for the loving care, compassion and kindness she showed to Mom. Her support brought comfort to Mom and meant so much to our family. Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her and will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and lifelong service to others. She loved her bingo, playing cards and the famous marble game with family and friends. Heaven has gained a social butterfly.
