Lucinda Doris Mobley White Colleton passed away on November 1, 2025. She was born March 7, 1936 to the late Reverend John Wesley Mobley and Fannie Mae Smith Mobley. She was the sixth of twelve children.

She was a graduate of Gillespie Selden Institute in Cordele, Georgia class of 1954. While attending, it is noteworthy that she was chosen along with six others girls as the best all around Girls on Campus. She was also known throughout the school as a wiz in Algebra.

Growing up Lucinda loved being in the company of the elderly, reading, reciting poetry and cooking, especially baking desserts. She accepted Christ at the age of twelve as her Lord and Savior. She became a member of Mount Bethel Missionary Church in Penia, Georgia and was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverand George Price Haynes. She served as an usher and secretary of Sunday School.

She was a member of the Greater Mount Vernon Baptist Church since May 1969 here in Jacksonville, FL. She served on the Adut Usher Ministry, Sunday School Class #11 and President of District Fifteen for 42 years. She retired from Duval County School June 2000.

She was preceded in death by her husband Willie Colleton, son Lawless White, Daughter-in-Law Linda White, Sisters Ethel Dennard, Leeann Stephens, Annie Mobley and Brothers Issac Mobley, Joe Benjamin Mobley, John Lewis Mobley, John Wesley Mobley Jr., Walter Mobley She leaves to cherish her memories to her Son, Roland White, Jr. (Janice) Jacksonville, daughters Dr. Conchita "Faye" Floyd, Atlanta, Ga and Leslie Williams, Jacksonville, Fl., two sisters Lula Mobley, Atlanta, Ga and Dora Avery, Lake City, Fl. Ten grandkids, several great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. Extended family: Tyrone and Carolyn Fowler and Elder Tyronne and Darlene Brown. Two god-children: Tanya Echols (Corey) and Frank Sherman, Jr (Naomi). Very Special Friends: Elaine Redden, Theadora Woodberry, Shirley Sullivan,
Linda Hartsville, Sandra Carter, Coralene Parker, Jeannette Walker, Ola Thompson, Kay Bertha Edwards, the staff and residents of Riverside Park Apartments.

Ms. Colleton viewing will be on Friday, November 7th from 2-5 pm at Homes-Glover-Solomon Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 10:00am, viewing will be from 9-10:00am at Rosa Glover Holmes Memorial Chapel located at 4334 Brentwood Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida.

Ms Lucinda filled a void in my life when my own Mother passed away and we had such a special bond and Tyrone lost his riding buddy to Lake City occasionally, we hold so many dear Memories with Ms Lucinda she will always be in Our Hearts forever
