Lucinda Joan Kirch, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 in Syracuse, Indiana. She was born on November 13, 1936, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Charles Hardin Ellis and Ruth Pickhardt Ellis. Cinda’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, family, and a passion for fashion that never faded.

Cinda was a proud graduate of Carmel High School, Class of 1954, and pursued higher education at Hanover College. During her time at Hanover, she was an active member of the Phi Mu sorority, forming lifelong friendships and memories that she cherished dearly. In 1962, she met the love of her life, John J. Kirch, with whom she shared a remarkable 54 years of marriage until his passing in July 2021. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering support for one another and love of family.

Cinda dedicated most of her professional life to the William H. Block Company, where she worked as a buyer purchasing women’s fashion apparel. In 1976, she retired to devote her time to her beloved family. Family was always her priority, and she poured her heart into nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, becoming a matriarch who inspired all around her. Cinda's unwavering spirit and grace were evident in all she did.
