Lucy Aguilar, age 68 passed away peacefully on April 13 , surrounded by loved ones. She was born Luz de Maria on December 2, 1956 in La Union, El Salvador, to Miguel Arturo Campos and Zoila Rosa Guerra.
She was the middle sister of Yolanda Noemy and Mayra Beatriz.
She was a devoted wife to Ricardo Salvador Aguilar and a proud mother of Richard Anthony and William Giovanni.
She graduated from New York City Technical College with an Associate degree in Applied Sciences for Hotel Technology.
Lucy had an extensive career in the banking industry and worked at Jamaica Savings Bank and Bank of America for several years. Her last job was as a part timer at CVS.
Lucy was a devoted parishioner and enjoyed partaking in religious events at St. Mary Star of the Sea. Lucy was one of the lead coordinators for the Divine Child of Jesus Society.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, cousin, aunt, and a friend you can always rely on .
Lucy was also passionate about her dogs she had throughout the years. She cooked for them and would buy them Halloween costumes.
She enjoyed cooking during the holidays and made her delicious "torejas" "rellenos" "ensalada rusa" and enchiladas.
In addition she enjoyed planting, collecting stuffed animals, and little figureines. Her favorite character was Snoopy.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her
