Lucy Bedigian, 87 of Newton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Newton Wellesley Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 14,1938 in Newton, to late Levon & Altoon (Maghakian) Bedigian.

Lucy was raised and educated in Newton, graduating from Newton High School in 1956. She then resided in Waltham for many years before moving back to Newton.

Dependable with a strong work ethic, Lucy enjoyed her long career working at Star Market, first in Newtonville then in Cambridge. After her retirement from Star Market, she worked as the Lunch Site Manager at the Newton Senior Center.

Lucy also loved to dance and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics but spending time with family and friends brought her the greatest joy.

Predeceased by her siblings, Agnes Tomczyk, Pauline Lukosus, Tunney, Simon and Jack Bedigian, as well as her nephews the late James Putney and William Bedigian.

Lucy is lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews, Richard & Donna Tomczyk, Patti & Jackie Barberio, Linda Tomczyk, Stephen & Violeta Lukosus, Carol & Stephen Finnegan, Donna Putney and David Bedigian. In addition, several great nieces and nephews John, Julie, Nicholas Barberio and Anna Tomczyk and many other grand nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. Along with other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember Lucy during visiting hours on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 10AM- 12pm in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapel located at 773 Moody Street Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.

A funeral service in celebration of Lucy's life will follow at 12pm with a burial at Mt. Feake Cemetery located at 203 Prospect Street, Waltham, MA.

Those who would like to pay their respects to Lucy and her family but are unable to attend are welcome to sign the family's guest book at www.Brascofuneralhome.com
