Lucy Moncada Obituary
Lucy was born in Santa Monica, California to Antonio and Julia Moncada. She was raised in Watsonville, California and graduated from Watsonville High School in 1956. She married her high school sweetheart Robert H. Carlon in 1957.
Lucy is survived by son Robert Carlon of Watsonville, daughter Carol Sutherland (Dennis) of Santa Cruz, sisters Anne Munoz, and Angie Gomez, of Watsonville, brothers, Robert Moncada (Jessie) of Watsonville and Ray Moncada (Vicenta) of Salinas. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Christopher Carlon of Savannah, Georgia, Rachelle Hamm of Sutter, and Nicole Blossom of Santa Cruz. Great-Grandchildren, Isaiah Hamm, Gabriella Hamm, Lunden Martisius-Blossom, Kaylah Hamm, and Elijah Fierro, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Julia Moncada and her sisters, Ernestine Rodriguez, and Virginia Medina.
Lucy loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to listen to 50's music and watch old classic movies. She had a sense of humor amid her own struggles with mental illness, which she overcame with the help of many services and family members. Lucy and her sweet spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
