Graveside services for Lucy (Luna) Torres, 77, of Temple, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 9th at North Belton Cemetery with Jim Fly officiating.
Lucia Luna Torres died on Friday, May 26, 2023 at a local hospital.
Lucy Torres was born on February 26, 1946 in Belton, Texas. Being the middle child and growing up on the family farm. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Torres and together they raised their children. Being a homemaker she was very proud of her children. Her greatest life lessons was to keep family at the heart and always work hard. Her hobbies included; dancing, cooking traditional Mexican meals, and being with the family.
Survivors include her five sons, Jimmy Torres, Manuel Torres, Johnny Torres, Abel Torres, Danny Torres; two daughters, Lori Torres, Janie Torres; three brothers, Robert Luna, Johnny Luna, Manuel Luna; one sister, Mary Rodriguez along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years, Jimmy Torres; three brothers, Ramundo Vargas, Pete Luna, Sunday Luna. Sr.,; two sisters, Clara Moore, Connie Abilez.
In Lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the funeral home for the funeral services of Ms. Torres.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am -1:00 pm before services in the Kaverly Chapel at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sabrina N. Young at Young's Daughters Funeral Home.
