LouElla Cheatham Toothman, better know as Ludy, was born in Jacksonville, Texas on November 8, 1945. She attended Troup High School and retired from a long career in the multi-family housing industry. She was also a life-long member of the Church of God. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Ludy was amazing in the kitchen.
Ludy went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2024 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years and love of her life, Charles Wesley Toothman; her parents, Jesse Mills Cheatham and Loretta Burgins Cheatham; sister, Mary Jo Lavender; and great-grandson, Brevon Neal McCarty.
She is survived by two daughters, Sarita Toothman McCarty and Jennifer Toothman Lang, both of Tyler; grandchildren, Bronson McCarty of Arlington, Brittni McCarty Wise and her husband, David, of Tyler, and Victoria Bell Wiltse and her husband, John, of Grangeville, Idaho; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ludy loved Jesus and her family with her whole heart. Everyone she encountered gravitated to her loving, giving spirit. She was a loyal and doting mother, grandmother and aunt that will be missed by those whose lives she touched. We find comfort in knowing she has received her reward and is worshiping her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed until we meet again
