Lue Edna Fulcher

Lue Edna Fulcher, 80, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on September 16, 2025, after a battle with lung cancer. Edna lived her life as a true example of a Proverbs 31 "Virtuous Woman."

Lue – or, Edna, as she was called by family and friends – was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1945, in Westmoreland, Virginia to Moses Smith and Rosie Smith, nee Wilson. As a young lady, Edna attended Zion Baptist Church in Kinsale, Virginia.

Edna graduated from A.T. Johnson High School in 1964; and, at the age of 19, she married Moses Fulcher. They were joined in holy matrimony on June 12, 1965. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Washington, D.C. – where Edna attended Cortz Peters Business College and received her commercial diploma in June 1965.

In 1968, they relocated from D.C., to their home on Cloverdale Rd. Their love produced two children: Keith Fulcher (Sarina) and Carlita Wooten (Tony).

For many years, the patient and loving Edna worked as a bus driver for Evangel Christian School. She loved the job and even returned as a bus aide for special needs children being transported to Prince William Public Schools.

Edna's relationship with God was very important to her. In 1978, Edna enrolled in Washington Bible College; and in 1979, Edna – along with Moses and her children – became a founding member of Dale City Christian Church. The following year she graduated from Washington Bible College.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents and Robert Smith (Bettie). She is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless extended family and found family members.
