Luis "Lucho" Miranda, 85, of Pawleys Island, SC, passed away on January 7, 2026, after complications from a surgery to repair a hip injury.

Lucho was born on May 21, 1940, to Luis Miranda and Aurora Arrau in Santiago, Chile. He had one brother named Carlos. Lucho moved to Guatemala with his mother at the young age of 18.

During Lucho's life, he raced cars, flew small planes, started a publishing company, served as volunteer fire fighter and paramedic, mortgage loan originator, and real estate agent.

Lucho loved working to help people achieve their dreams. His clients became his friends and family. In his free time, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed listening to music, cooking, boating, fishing, bird watching, and feeding the squirrels.
