Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel & Gardens on Feb. 3, 2026.
With deep sorrow, but with gratitude in our hearts, we bid farewell to Luis Hernando Ceballos Bermúdez, who departed this world at the age of 84, leaving behind an indelible legacy of love, strength, and values.
Luis Hernando was a man of firm character and strong words, yet with a noble and generous heart. Behind his determined temperament there was always a just, hardworking human being, deeply committed to his family. He was an exemplary husband and a faithful companion to Mrs. Lucíla Ramírez, a devoted father, and a loving grandfather, proud of his children and of each of his grandchildren, whom he loved and protected with all his heart.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucíla Ramírez; his children, Patricia, Jairo, and Elena Ceballos; as well as his cherished grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory and his example in life.
Those who had the privilege of knowing him know that he left valuable lessons, treasured memories, and a mark that will never fade. His life was a testament to responsibility, perseverance, and unconditional love for his family.
Today, as we say goodbye, we hold on to the promise of God's word: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17) Though his earthly body has come to rest, we trust that he has been made new and dwells in eternal peace.
Rest in peace, Luis Hernando. Your memory will live on forever in our hearts.
