Luis C. Martinez, Jr., 87, was born on June 11, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas and entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2024 in Houston, Texas. Luis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He retired from Offenhauser Co. after 37 years of service. He was very well known for serving as the President and Umpire of Magnolia Park, helping establish the scoreboard, concession stand, and announcement box at the park. He was a huge Astros fan and a baseball fanatic. He also enjoyed watching old western movies and loved his wife and family very much. Luis is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine; his brothers, Gilbert , Roy, and Joe Martinez; his daughter, Anabel Baeza; and his grandson, Jaime De Alejandro, Jr.. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his wife of 67 years, Rosa Martinez; his sons, Jesse Martinez and Joe Martinez & wife Sandra; his daughter, Gracie Rojas & husband Rudy; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jackie, Joey, Jr., Gabriela, Macy, and Jayden; his great grandchildren, Jasmyne, Steven, Ava, Ethan, and Elani; he also leaves behind many other family members. Luis will be dearly missed by all those who were able to share loving memories with him.
