On September 17, 2025, Luis Antonio Reyes Nogue, affectionately known as Negrito Conga, transitioned from this physical world to the spiritual. Born on September 16, 1970, in Comerío, Puerto Rico, Luis lived a life characterized by a loving heart, a humble spirit, an unwavering dedication, and a talented touch. His life was a testament to the scripture, "We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28). He was a man who firmly believed that God did everything for a reason and trusted in His divine plan.

Luis spent his professional life in Springfield, Massachusetts, as a machine operator at Jets Industries. He was a hardworking and dedicated employee for five years. Outside of work, Luis was a gifted musician who used his talent to serve his church and uplift others. His humble nature prevented him from boasting, but those who had the privilege of hearing him play could attest to his exceptional skills. Above all, Luis was a family man. He held his family close to his heart and cherished every moment he spent with them. His wife, Glenda Melendez, was his rock, and their love was palpable to all who knew them. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he relished in the love and joy they brought to his life.

Luis is survived by his beloved wife, Glenda Melendez, and their children, Brittney Aponte, Quezinia, Alex, Frances, and Talia, along with his cherished grandchildren, Amia, Aleycha, Aleah, Alexis, and his grandson. Luis was preceded in death by his parents, Luis Reyes and Conchita Nogue. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, humility, and talent that will continue to inspire and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him.

As we remember Luis, let us not forget his love for his family, his friends, his fur baby boy Coco, his passion for music, his love for working on his Mustang, and his fondness for coffee and Coca-Cola. His life was a beautiful melody that will continue to ring in our hearts. To keep Luis's memory alive, we encourage you to leave memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page. In doing so, we can ensure that his spirit continues to live on and inspire others as it inspired us.
