Reggie Springer, 63, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Born on April 27, 1962, in Chester, Montana to Martin and Lorna (Faber) Springer. Reggie lived a life marked by dedication to education, faith, music, and community.

A proud graduate of Big Sandy High School in Montana, Reggie went on to earn his undergraduate degree from Montana State University. His passion for learning led him to pursue an MBA in West Virginia, blending technical expertise with leadership skills that would shape the course of his professional journey.

Reggie's career began in chemical engineering and sales, taking him across the country to places including West Virginia, New Jersey, Ohio, and ultimately Massachusetts. With time, he discovered a calling in education and transitioned into teaching mathematics within the Springfield school system. Known for his humor and commitment to his students' success, Reggie made a lasting impact in the classroom and became a cherished figure among colleagues and learners alike.

After retiring from teaching in 2024, Reggie continued to stay active by working security at Live Nation concerts. This role allowed him to remain engaged with the music community while supporting events that brought joy to others. Reg enjoyed visiting the American Red Cross having donated 947 lifesaving blood and platelet products which earned him a special "Gift of Life Legacy" award.

While living in Bozeman, Montana, Reggie met Vickie. Their marriage spanned 39 years and was built on mutual respect and shared experiences that enriched both their lives.

Reggie is lovingly remembered by his wife Vickie aka The Mrs™; his sister Marcella Holden of Havre, MT; sisters-in-law Cindy (Dennis) Nordquist and Peggy (Terry) Quinlen both of Minot, ND; brothers-in-law Tom (Cathy) Wald of Canton, GA; and David (Paulette) Wald of Minot, ND. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and 1,204 Facebook friends who will carry forward fond memories of time spent together.

He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Lorna Springer; his in-laws Michael and Viola Wald; brothers-in-law Jon Holden and Patrick Wald; as well as his beloved dog Ginger.

A lifelong Catholic, Reggie found that his faith remained a steady source of guidance throughout every chapter of his life.

May Reggie's memory continue to inspire kindness and connection among all who knew him. He was fondly tagged "The Great Connector".

Reggie will be taking one last trip with his Sister to his childhood home of Montana. His ashes will be buried alongside family members.

I had the pleasure of working with Reggie for a few years within the Springfield Public Schools system. Reggie always had a ready smile and a gentle spirit. We enjoyed friendly conversations and many laughs. Simply put, Reggie was one of the good guys!

I´m one of Reggie´s many friends from the Group Exercise classes at Club Fitness. As I´d sign into a class and see he had already signed in - I knew something I was looking forward to was going to be even better! His sense of humor (ie his "Last set!!!" call in P90x) brought levity to challenging workouts and helped build a sense of community we share there. When he wasn´t there I´d look forward to seeing him the next time when he would tell a story about where he´d been - a concert... the Big E...volunteering at the Red Cross.
I am very grateful for the time I spent with you Reggie, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
