Luis A. Teixeira

Luis A. Teixeira, 65, of Lowell, MA, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2026, at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Celina M. (Rocha) Teixeira, with whom he shared almost 37 years of marriage.
Born on August 11, 1960, in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, Luis was the son of the late Luis Teixeira and the late Maria Celestina Cota da Silva. He was raised in Agualva, Terceira, Açores, before immigrating to the United States 35 years ago, where he built a life centered on hard work and family.
Luis worked as a Lot Attendant at Home Depot for over 15 years, and later at Lowe's for the past 8 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and willingness to help anyone in need. Luis was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Lowell.
He had a deep love for his Portuguese culture and especially enjoyed Carnaval dances and Cantoria. Above all else, Luis was a devoted family man-extremely hardworking, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a hand. His greatest joy in life was his family, whom he cherished above all.
In addition to his wife, Celina, Luis is survived by his beloved son, Stefan R. Teixeira, of Lowell, MA. He is also survived by his siblings Filomena Maria da Silva Teixeira Moreira and her husband Nelson, and Maria Celestina Cota Teixeira. In addition, he leaves behind his sisters-in-laws: Lina Faria and her husband Frank of Dracut, MA; Lidia Borges and her husband Carlos of Lowell, MA; Susana Menezes and her husband Luis of Lowell, MA; and Silvia DeMelo and her husband David, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Luis was predeceased by his parents, his parents-in-law Maria and Francisco Rocha, and his beloved nephew Júlio Faria.
Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. followed by his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at ST.
