Luisa Quintero, 53 years young, of East Toledo passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2024 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital. She was born on October 10, 1970 in Lagrange, Illinois to Margaret and Luis Quintero.
She was the most loving, caring, amazing, charismatic woman you could know. She always put everyone first. Even when she was struggling, she would make sure you were taken care of before herself. She was the type of person you could call at 3 a.m. and if you needed her, she would be at your door with a smile on her face, whether she wanted to or not. Luisa was the type of person who would give her last penny even when she couldn't spare it. She would go without so you wouldn't have to. She spent the last several years helping care for her mother without hesitation. Luisa was an example of how people should be in this world today. She was simply kind hearted and beautiful deep down to her soul. If you were lucky enough to know her, then you know how true this was.
She was always the life of the party. Her proudest achievement was her loving son Anthony. He was her light, even on her darkest days. He filled her heart with joy and laughter on a daily basis. She was the queen of his heart and he was her everything. Luisa enjoyed drinking coffee and watching her reality, cooking, and singing shows. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including her fiancé, Charles, who was by her side daily even when times got rough. Luisa cherished their time together. They shared a deeper love for each other that only they could understand. Luisa truly enjoyed any given moments she got to spend with all her nieces and nephews, who loved her beyond words. She enjoyed her computer games, puzzle books, shopping and playing board games. And she was always up for a good yard sale. Luisa was taken from this world way to soon. The memories she gave us, we will cherish for eternity. She left an imprint on our hearts that will never be forgotten.
Luisa leaves behind her beloved son, Anthony Quintero; fiancé, Charles Botos; siblings, Alexander (Lisa) Quintero, Robert (Julia) Quintero, Bonnie (Mike) Zacharias, Steven (Jodi) Quintero, and Effie (Bill) Morrow; step-brothers, Lou (Syma) Echeandia, Johnathan Echeandia, and Timothy (Milza) Echeandia; mother-in-law, Marcia Botos; siblings-in-law, Billy, Teddy, and Christine Botos; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, Joshua (Leah) Quintero, Gabriel Quintero, Jacob, Meghan, Rebekah, Liam Quintero, Michael Zacharias lll, Alexandria (Luis) Ramos, Kenneth (Mary) Zacharias, Noah & Bennett Quintero, Devin & Alivia Morrow, Kristyn, Karl, Jacqueline, Alex, Jerry Ella Botos, Brian Jones, Leila, Gavin, Joy, Violet Zacharias, Elena, Camila, and Leonardo Ramos, Nico, Luca, Koa Quintero, and Amiyah, Gabriel, Lucas, Liam, Carson, and Abby.
Luisa was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Luis Quintero; grandparents, Euphemia and Alexander Harvey, and Luisa Quintero; uncle, William; aunt, Janet Harvey; siblings-in-law, Robert and Melissa Botos; nephews, Jared Quintero and William Botos; father-in-law, William Botos; and close friend, Tami Botos.
