I remember meeting Lukas at the beginning of the school year. What a cute kid! His smile and his eager curiosity were infectious. He left an impression on me. He will be sorely missed.

Hi Jen and Chris. This is Barbara Struhs and I worked with Dr. Ron Day in Pediatric Cardiology at Primary Children's. I spoke with with Dr. Day and he told me that Lucas had passed. I am so sorry for your loss! I thought he was the cutest boy ever. I loved those stylish spectacles he always wore. Your are both such good and loving parents. My deepest and most sincere condolences to you and your family.

Please allow us to express our deepest feelings of love for your family as you experience this transition. Lukas always made Lilly and I smile. We will always remember his enthusiasm and smile! Lilly loved having Lukas in her classes at the school and SNAP! As evidenced in the photo, she enjoyed being with him and connected with him in many ways. His birthday parties were events to be remembered!
I also appreciated the connections I have made with you as parents. It means a lot to have friends in your life who understand what it can mean to raise and care for a child with special needs. The memorial service of Lukas' life is something I will always remember. I hope that I can connect with others in the way that Lukas tried to teach us. I know that Lilly has helped me learn that skill. We are lucky to have these types of angels in our lives, now and for eternity.
