Luke Andrew Robinson, age 39, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Seattle, WA. Luke was deeply loved by all who knew him. He was a talented artist, a loving son, brother, and uncle. A person whose warmth drew people to him. He was smart, funny, entertaining, with a heart of gold. Those who met Luke rarely forgot him.
Born on February 21, 1986, in Vincennes, Indiana, Luke was the son of Jo Ann (Lawrence) Sporleder and Charles Thomas Robinson. When he was just three weeks old, his family moved to Mooresville, Indiana, a town he proudly called home for nearly 20 years. Luke was blessed with many gifts: creativity, strong friendships, a positive outlook, and, most importantly, a family who loved him deeply.
For many years, he bravely battled drug addiction, completing rehabilitation programs multiple times. Despite his efforts, the disease ultimately claimed his life far too soon. Luke's struggle has ended, and he is finally at peace. Luke's passing is a profound loss, but his family is committed to keeping his memory alive forever.
In his memory, the family hopes his story serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and connection. Addiction touches too many lives each day. If someone you love is struggling, reach out. The stigma of embarrassment and denial must be overcome. To those suffering from substance use disorders: you are loved beyond measure, no matter what, and you are not alone. Asking for help is a sign of strength.
Luke is survived by his parents; step-father Ray Sporleder; brothers Neil (Kristina) Rumer, Aaron Robinson, and Clint Robinson; step-brother Shane (Erika) Sporleder; nephews Travis and Jared Rumer; nieces Haliegh (Weston) Shumway and Kaydence Avila; great-nephew Otto Shumway; uncle Gregg Lawrence; aunts Donna (David) Woods, Sherry Field and Carla (Robert) Timmis; cousins David Woods, JR; Dawn Woods; Corban Field and Thomas Field.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Charles Robinson, Sr, Floy (Walters) Robinson, Gordon 'Don' Lawrence, and Marilyn (Davidson) Lawrence.
The family is having a memorial gathering from 3 to 7pm, Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service, 4165 East Allison Rd, Mooresville, IN. Luke's remains will be interred at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN, next to his Grandmother Lawrence and her parents.
Instead of sending flowers, the family requests donations be made to a homeless shelter or addiction treatment center of your choice, in memory of Luke. To send a condolence to the family or to share a story about Luke, please visit: www.jonesfamilymortuary.com
