Mrs. Lula Bell Waters was born on January 1, 1941 in Dawson, Georgia to the late Howard and Alma Williams. She attended Stanton High School.
Lula married Willie Waters in 1974. She was employed and retired after thirty-one years from Maxwell House as a Machine Operator. After retirement she worked as a bus aide for First Student Transportation for twelve years.
Lula was an active member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the choir and was the President of District #4.
Lula Bell Waters slept away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Friday, November 22, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Waters; son, Van Roy Williams; her brothers, Howard Williams, Jr., John Thomas Williams, Larry Williams, Ceardis Williams and Charlie Williams; and sister, Hattie Mae Williams.
Lula leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted sisters, caregiver, Jewell Hall (Sherman), Gloria Evans (Chuck) and Inez Williams (Buddy); brothers, Tommy Lee Williams and Major Hightower; step-daughter, Sharon Renee Foster; step-grandchildren, Jason Waters, Breon Waters (Anne) and Rodnae Fosters; aunt, Jean Brown; devoted great nephew, Tre'von Gray; devoted nieces, Tonya Williams and Stephanie Hodges; devoted cousins, Deborah Grier and Dorothy Shorter (Sam); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many sorrowing friends.
