Lunette McLamb Obituary
Benson, NC: Mrs. Lunette Parker “Mac” McLamb, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The family will receive friends from 2:45PM-3:45PM-Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. The Funeral Service will follow at 4:00PM in the Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Foister will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson, NC.
Mrs. McLamb was born on May 14, 1939 in Johnston County, NC to the late William Jefferson and Callie Franklin Benson Parker. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jackie Adams, Dallas Parker, Katie Lee, and Margaret Braswell. A devoted caregiver, she began her journey into nursing following high school. Her determination and compassion led to a remarkable 50-year career as a nurse, where she began as a labor and delivery nurse, followed by a long career with Drs. Duncan & Duncan in Dunn, NC, and ended her career as a certified occupational health nurse with Chicopee in Benson, NC. She touched countless lives with kindness, wisdom and grace. In her spare time, Lunette loved spending time with her family, especially her grandsons, and enjoyed playing golf. She was a member of Holly Grove Advent Christian Church, where she served in many capacities. A faithful servant of God, she lived each day as a reflection of His love through her words, her actions, and her selfless care for others.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jimmy McLamb; children, Jama Shannonhouse and husband, Art, and Jay McLamb and wife, Sonya; grandsons, William McLamb (Jess), Avery Harper (Kailey), Jon McLamb (Abby), Evan Harper (Courtney), and Galen McLamb (Lane); great-granddaughter, Ellarie Harper; sister, Pam Holland, and husband Danny Mack; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her love of golf, memorials may be sent to the Campbell University Women’s Golf Team in her memory at Campbell University Athletics, Attn: Athletics Advancement, P.O.
