Lupe gained her wings in Henderson NV on January 17, 2025 surrounded by family. Lupe was born on June 27, 1937 in Raton NM. She was the daughter of Maximiano and Rosenda Martinez. Lupe married her soulmate Joe Martinez on September 28, 1954 and they had 7 children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Joe Martinez, daughters Theresa King and Josephine Martinez, Grandson Manny Romero, and great great grandson Kyng Luciano Vigil York. Lupe is also preceded in death by her brothers Tony Martinez and Leroy Martinez, Sisters, Cordelia Encinias, Aurelia Mares, Mary Aragon, Jennie Arguello and Virginia Valdez.
Lupe is survived by David and Virginia Martinez of Raton NM, Son-in-law Thaddeus King of Clyde TX, Joe Martinez JR and partner Anita of Las Vegas NV, Rose Romero of Henderson NV, Bernadette and James Crosby of Las Vegas NV, Dwyane and Sharron Martinez of Cedar City UT, adopted daughter Veronica and James Johnson. 18 Grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 10 Great Great Grandchildren.
Lupe loved spending time with family. She was a fan of the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the Denver Broncos, She loved fishing, camping, and playing keno. She was adventurous, loved to travel and parasailed at the age of 82. Lupe often traveled by plane to visit her family.
