Lurline Judd Obituary
HORNER CHAPEL - Lurline Vaughn Judd, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Hilda Vaughn, brothers Paul Vaughn, Bob Vaughn, Dee Vaughn, and Carl (Phyllis) Vaughn, sisters Kathy Gebbia, Faye Cobble, and Willodene Vaughn, son Terry Lynn Reed, and grandsons Eric Reed, Nathan Reed, and Kevin Reed.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Robert Judd, her daughters Gloria Holmes, Ethelene (Gary) Rich, sons Mackie Reed, Tim Reed, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born on May 7, 1941 to Walter and Hilda Vaughn, Lurline resided with her husband Robert in Hanging Limb for over 45 years. She and Robert attended Hanging Limb Freewill Baptist Church. Lurline had a larger-than-life personality and never met a stranger. She was at home in nature and loved taking walks often, hunting for ginseng, picking blackberries, and completing puzzles. She took pride in her children and grandchildren. Her excitement for life was contagious and she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday September 27th at Horner Funeral Home in Monterey, TN. Reverend Darrell Harville will officiate. Interment will follow at the Phillips Cemetery in Hanging Limb, TN. Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
