Ronald DeWayne Judd

Ronald Judd Obituary Ronald "Ron" DeWayne Judd, of Winona Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 27, 2025 at the age of 77.
He was born on March 12, 1948, in Huntington, Indiana to Kenneth and Maxine (Hurd) Judd. He graduated from South Whitley High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. He dedicated most of his professional career to long-haul trucking and his most recent employer was Pierceton Trucking.
Ron married Sue Johnson Danner on August 5, 1989, in Warsaw. Married for nearly 36 years, they enjoyed many travel and camping adventures, as well as family get togethers to celebrate all of life's cherished milestones.
Ron will be greatly missed by his wife, Sue Judd; son, Rod Danner (Jody Satterfield); daughter, Michelle Danner (Steve) Kimbrough; grandchildren: Jacob (Hope) Danner, Hayleigh Danner (Michael Moore), Brooke Danner (Alex Busic), Cole and Sloane Kimbrough, and Payton (Ethan) Nicodemus; and six great-grandchildren: Delilah, Irie, Taylen, Jaxson, Sadler, and Sutton. Also surviving are daughter, Ashkea Judd Semon; sisters, Linda Striggle and Cheryl (David) Whitesell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was known for his ornery sense of humor and giggling to the point of tears in his eyes when something really cracked him up, usually at his wife's expense. A life-long animal lover, Ron always had a dog by his side to include Elfie, Barney, Izzy, and Colby over the years. He loved tinkering with old cars in the garage and spending time outside doing yard work. He enjoyed camping in various locations until he and Sue settled their camper at Jellystone Campground in Pierceton where family and friends gathered throughout the summer.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ron's life on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana. Visitation will take place from 1:00 – 2:30 PM with a short remembrance service at 2:30 PM. A graveside burial ceremony will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.
