Carole June Adams, 86, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 9:58 am, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Story Point West in Fort Wayne. She was born on September 29, 1938, in Andrews, Indiana, to Earl and Mabel (Kuschel) Stensel.
Carole was a 1956 graduate of South Whitley High School. On July 13, 1969, she married John A. Adams at Wabash Presbyterian Church; he preceded her in death on January 17, 2025. Carole worked for Metro school district as a Teacher's Aid for many years. She was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ. Carole enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. She had a green thumb and was able to raise and nurture any plant; she especially loved growing African violets, gladiolas, and geraniums.
She is survived by three children, Deborah "Debbie" (Ken) DeKoninck of Venice, Florida, David (Tamra) Adams of Pierceton, Indiana, and Kristina "Kristi" (Michael) O'Brien of Newburgh, Indiana; nine grandchildren; Tiffany (Andrew) Smith, John (Brittney) DeKoninck, Amanda (Harry) Stafford, David Adams, Tia (Justin) Weimer, Blake (Carly) Adams, Autumn (Alex) Croft, Samuel Abell, and Johnathan Abell; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean A. Martini of Mead, Washington, Ellen L. (Tom) McDaniels of Lake Mary, Florida, Steve K. (Sue) Stensel and Sharon K. (Larry) Thomas, all of Tucson, Arizona, and Tom (Annette) Stensel of Warsaw, Indiana. In addition to her husband, Carole was preceded in death by her parents, son, Ricky Wray Adams, and brother-in-law, Ron Martini.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Andrews. Friends may call Wednesday, 9-11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimer's Association.
