Luther (Luke) Collins passed away Saturday, March 1, 2026 in Fayetteville. He was born in Gravette, Arkansas to Robert Henry Collins and Thelma Galyean Collins on December 3, 1941.

Luke graduated from Springdale High School in 1959 and at age 17, he started working at Jones Truck Lines being the youngest on the dock. Luke was drafted in March of 1968 and served in Vietnam. He returned to work for Jones Truck Lines and served in the Arkansas National Guard. Luke was an outdoor enthusiast spending time enjoying hiking, biking and canoeing in Arkansas. He also volunteered free time to the US Forest Service, BLM and Park Service in the Western States.

Luke was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Collins; two sisters, Edna Mae VanCleve, and Pansy June Young.

He is survived by his wife Mary; son, Tony Collins; daughter, Tifany Collins; sister, Glenda Lamb and husband Dean; sister in law, Lena Collins; grandsons: Jackson Collins, Cooper Collins, and special granddaughter Lexi Huckaba and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no service but a visitation with family and friends at the Jones Center, 922 E Emma Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 10 am until 12 pm.

Memorials may go to Ozark Society Foundation: PO Box 166, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72702-0166 or your choice of charity.
