Luther Lee Dooley, a devoted family man and skilled tradesman, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Braselton, Georgia, at the age of 79. Born on October 6, 1946, in Commerce, Georgia, Luther dedicated much of his life to the carpentry and construction industry, where he was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and work ethic.
Luther was a loving partner to his significant other, Jennifer Garris, with whom he shared 27 years of companionship. He was a proud father to his five sons, Micky, Timothy, Justin, William, and Melvin Dooley. He also had four daughters, Ruth Elizabeth Grier, Ruth Cecil Dooley, and Rosie Carter, as well as Gladys Dooley, who all cherished his presence and guidance in their lives. Luther's family was further enriched by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy of love and dedication.
Luther is predeceased by his father, Reece Lee Dooley, and his mother, Cecil Lorene (Lecroy) Sailors. He also mourned the loss of his brother, Larry Dooley, and two daughters, Mary Ann Dooley and Kimberly Annette Dooley.
A memorial service may be held at a later date. His family and friends will remember him for his unwavering love, craftsmanship, and the warmth he brought into their lives.
