Luz Lara Obituary
Luz Lara, 85, entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2024 in El Paso, TX. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tirso; her siblings and parents, Jose and Asuncion Leos. Luz is survived by her sons, Jaime Lara (Aurora), Lorenzo Lara (Cynthia), Jorge Gerardo Lara (Stacia) and Tirso Lara (Lucy). Daughters, Faviola A. Moreno (Jorge), Patricia Longoria (Ray), Carmen Lara, Veronica Contreras and Luz Garcia (Horacio). Luz also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jorge A. Moreno, Ivette Meador, Jaime Lara, Arely Lara Beard, Jennifer Lara, Nancy Sanchez, Michael J. Lara, Monica Valdez, Barbara Holguin, Carolina Guerrero Lara, Jake Lara, Bryan A. Lara, Aaron Lara, Anel Sarahi Contreras, Octavio Contreras, Horacio A. Garcia and Hector A. Garcia; along with 23 great grandchildren who will honor and cherish her memory. Luz was very loved and will always be missed.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, TX 79907. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas. A Graveside will follow at 12:00 PM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79907.
