Lydia L LaRose 84, passed away at Alice Hyde Medical Center on Wednesday August 20, 2025, after a brief illness.

Born September 4, 1940, in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Sarah Sequin LaFlair and Edgar LaFlair. Lydia was the youngest of their seven children. Her brothers Edgar LaFlair Jr, AlvinLaFlair, Fred LaFlair, and Carl LaFlair predeceased her.

Lydia graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1957. On August 22, 1959, she married Leland C LaRose, he predeceased her on January 21, 2006. Lydia spent most of her life as a homemaker caring for her four daughters. She enjoyed spending time with her partner, Gary, gardening, bingo, and reading.

Lydia is survived by her partner of 15 years Gary Muller, her daughters, Lucinda (Peter) Buccaria of Long Island, Kathy McMurray of Lutz, Florida, Sandra LaRose of Malone, NY and Lisa (Peter) Marshall of Malone, NY; seven grandchildren; Matthew Lalonde of Timmons, Ontario, Canada, Katie Lalonde of Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, Sara (Adam) Charland of Malone, Shauna (Oscar) Amaya of Plattsburgh NY, Leland (Kim) Stone of Malone, Mandy (Andre) Chonior of Enosburgh Falls, Vermont and Krista (Gordon) Plumadore of Malone. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Clark of Ogdensburg, NY; one brother, Lawrence LaFlair of Ohio; 3 sisters-in-law, Clair (Bruce) Russell of Mountain View, NY, Barbara Tillinghast of Ilion, NY, and Carolyn Keenan of Plattsburgh, NY.

Arrangements are under the care of the Frary Funeral Home. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
