Lydia Esther Ramos Roman, 87, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Reading, Pennsylvania. She was born on April 9, 1938, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, to her loving parents, Julio Ramos and Lydia Roman.
Lydia was a woman of strength, grace, and deep compassion. For more than 40 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Paulo Kuczer, who lovingly cared for her and stood faithfully by her side, especially through life’s most difficult moments. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and commitment.
Life blessed Lydia with the cherished gift of a daughter, Miriam Oliver, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Lydia was known for her strong work ethic, her generous heart, and her warm spirit. She was an excellent cook who expressed her love through the meals she prepared for family and friends. Her kindness and charitable nature touched many lives, and she was always willing to help those in need. She will be remembered as a loving, gentle, and compassionate woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to others.
In recognition of her humanitarian spirit and dedication to serving her community, Lydia received the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellowship (MJF) Award, the highest form of recognition from Lions Clubs International. This honor reflects the lasting impact she made through her service and generosity.
Lydia’s legacy of love, faith, service, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
