Lydia Maria Rodriguez, age 95, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
Lydia was born on July 3, 1930, in Puerto Rico, to her parents, Jorge and Carmella Rodriguez. She lived a long life marked by resilience, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family and faith. In later years, she resided in Gulfport, where she remained until her passing.
She is survived by her two remaining sisters, Hilda LeBron and Nidia Rodriguez; her only son, Jorge Luis Rodriguez; her granddaughters, Abigail Rivera, Elizabeth Wren, and Lydia Rodriguez; and her great-grandchildren, Sarah De La Rosa, Robert “Bryant” Wren, Mikaila Harrison, Brandon Wren, and Carlos Rodriguez.
Lydia will be lovingly remembered for her warmth, strength, and the lasting legacy of love she leaves with her family.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Light for their compassionate care and support during this time.
Visitation will be Monday, January 12, 2026, from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the O'Neal Road location of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m.
