Michael Anthony Dumesnil aka "Quinn", age 75, passed away at his home in Gulfport, Mississippi, on March 5, 2026. He was born October 23, 1950, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Michael was adopted by Leo Frank and Jean Dumesnil and later in life connected with his biological mother, Clara Marks. He is preceded in death by all of his parents and by his siblings Richard Marks, Larry Marks, Terry Clark, Emily Marks, and Elizabeth Marks.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Dalbianco (Ronnie)-CA; his son, Juan Segura (Lorie)-MS; and four grandchildren, Max Stephan Batista (Alondra)-WI, Monique Nicole Segura-LA, Elijah Alejandro Segura AR, and Isaac Devon-Cruz Segura-MS. He is also survived by his sisters, Judith Kalkins and Barbara Jensen of AK.
Michael attended Franklin High School in Franklin, Louisiana. Music was one of the greatest passions of his life. He worked as a musical equipment repair technician and was also a singer and bass player. He continued playing music throughout his life, often sharing it with family, friends, and neighbors. Music was something he loved through and through.
Michael often described his life as a “wild ride.” His daughter was the light of his life. Later in life he discovered he had a son and grandchildren, something that filled him with awe and gratitude. Affectionately known as “Grandpa Mike,” he found great joy in his grandchildren. He was deeply proud of the lives his children built and often expressed amazement at their successful marriages, careers, and families, something he sometimes struggled with.
Michael believed in treating others with kindness and without judgment. Those who knew him also knew he could be stubborn, but he was well-meaning and carried a genuine appreciation for the people in his life.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society in Michael’s honor.
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, is honored to serve the family of Michael Anthony Dumesnil.
