ANN THOMAS
CLOPTON… Lydia Ann Thomas, a resident of Clopton, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at a Dothan hospital. She was 61.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Elder Larry Newman officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Church of God in Christ Cemetery, at 4338 County Road 54, Clopton, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday evening, September 19, 2025, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Abbeville, Alabama to the late Elijah Jr Taylor and Willie Beatrice Glanton Taylor. She lived her youthful years in the Bethlehem Community of Abbeville, Alabama. She attended Abbeville High School. Her adult life was lived in the Clopton, Alabama area. She was a Culinary Chef where she used her expertise in her cooking and catering business. She loved to play softball. Not many people knew, but she was an exemplary pool player.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, George Glanton, Lash Taylor and her twin brother, Charlie Leon Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Arthur Thomas of Clopton, Alabama; three children, Elijah Taylor (Sherrica), Karlita Taylor, and Jalisa Thomas; and ten beloved grandchildren—Arthur Thomas, LeiAndria Thomas, Iyuana Blackmon, Kyler Johnston, Karlee Taylor, Mackenzie Carter, Kamryn Taylor, Prince Carter, Elli Taylor, and Cordero Carter. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters; Jimmy Lee Taylor, Frankie Lee Taylor (Beverley), Nathaniel Taylor (Yolanda), Lori Ann Dennis (Jeffery), Walter Taylor, Janie Taylor, Rosie Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
