Lyle Brent Huff, 71, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on July 30, 2025. He was born in Hayward, California, to the late Felton Franklin Huff and Melba Caruthers Huff.
Brent lived the majority of his life at a Charles Lea Center group home and worked for the WorkAbility Special Needs program in Inman, SC. He loved his roommates and enjoyed sharing holidays—especially opening packages, but mostly for the food. Brent was a big fan of fried chicken, french fries, and a Denny’s breakfast any time of the day.
He had a fascination with photography, particularly when he was in the picture. Over the years, he collected hundreds—if not thousands—of photos with family, friends, caregivers, and any kind soul who took the time. Brent was also a devoted Disney fan and loved wearing Mickey Mouse and other Disney character clothing.
In addition to his mother, Brent is survived by his sisters, Rita McLain of Moore, SC, and Carol Peters of Pawleys Island, SC; and his brother, Stanley Huff of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Bethany Wesleyan Church Cemetery, 501 Bethany Church Rd Moore, SC, United States, South Carolina 29369.
