Lyle Ruple, 56, of Saybrook, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Born on August 27, 1968, in Willoughby, Ohio, Lyle's greatest joy in life was his family. Above all, he was a devoted father whose daughters, Sophia Garcia and Hannah Ruple, were the center of his world. He also shared a special bond with his mother, Nona Ruple, whose love and support meant so much to him. Those who knew Lyle will remember him for his grit, humor, and a touch of orneriness that only made him more endearing. Beneath it all, he was a big teddy bear with a heart that shone brightest when he was with the people he loved. He is survived by his daughters, Sophia (Manuel) Garcia and Hannah Ruple; grandson, Miles Garcia; siblings, Milene (Gary) Horst, David Ruple, Rayann Reynolds, Linda Urch Scott, Ron (Diana) Urch, Richard (Julie) Urch, John (Sheila) Urch, Tony (April) Urch and Mila (Patrick) Plats. Lyle's memory will be cherished for the way he showed his family – and everyone around him – that love can be both fierce and tender. He will be deeply missed, but the love he gave so freely will live on through Sophia and Hannah, and through the family ties he held so dearly. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 3420 South Ridge Road West, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004. For those unable to attend in person, the family is able to provide Zoom information upon request. Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements. www.LakeErieCrematory.com
