Lyle Silver

Lyle T. Silver, 70, of Dallas Center, Iowa, passed away, with his wife Tami at his side on May 29, 2025 from complications following a hemorrhagic stroke. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Iles Brandt Chapel, 1301 Ash Street, Dallas Center. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the Dallas Center United Methodist Church, 1504 Walnut Street, Dallas Center. Private interment at Brethren Cemetery, rural Dallas Center will be held at a later date.
Lyle was born July 2, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wilbur and Evelyn Silver. He grew up in Dallas Center and graduated from Dallas Center High School. He worked for 34 years at John Deere as a Tool and Die Maker. He retired in 2015.
Lyle enjoyed playing pool, fishing, visiting casinos and building his 1931 Chevy into his dream hot rod truck. He also enjoyed tinkering in his shop on who knows what, for who knows who. He was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many and tolerated the rest - you know who you are.
Lyle is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tami; his daughter, Jenna Silver (Donald Anderson); his siblings, Dale (Linda) Silver, Gary (Peggy) Silver and Linda (Dwane) Estes and many nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Silver.
