Lyle R. Wolfe

On October 20, 2022, Lyle R. Wolfe of Forestville New York, passed away peacefully at his residence in Newport News, Virginia. Born January 21, 1928 of parents (deceased) Leslie & Bernice Wolfe, Lyle worked 37 years as a lineman for Niagara Mohawk Power in Western New York. After retirement in 1988, Lyle remained active with carpentry, forestry, maple sugaring, and hunting on his farm in New York. He was also an avid golfer and longtime member of Tri County Country Club. Lyle is survived by his wife of 48 years, Christine Wolfe, his three children, Deb Holmes of South Carolina, Chris (Jerry) Miller of North Carolina, and Lamont Wolfe of California, his three stepchildren Kelly (Scott) Dayton of Virginia, Greg (Donna) Pollock of Kansas, and Scott Pollock, (Skye Ross) of Florida. Lyle is also survived by Grandchildren, Kim Blackburn, Janine Perez, Becky and Lisa Holmes, Step grandchildren Megan Dayton Milford, Michael Dayton, Ariel Pollock White as well as 17 great grandchildren. Lyle is also survived by his brother Warren (Diantha) Wolfe from Forestville New York. Lyle was proceeded in death by grandson Austin Pollock and brother Roger Wolfe (WWII). Interment services and celebration of life will be held Spring 2023 in Fredonia New York.
