Lynda Matthews Obituary
Lynda L Matthews, Age 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. At Life Care of Sparta in Sparta, TN.
Lynda was born on December 26, 1941 in Harriman, TN to the late Carl and Pearl Goss.
Lynda held several positions in the work force ending with in-house auditor for a gas & oil company and operated by the Bread Box food stores where she retired.
Lynda was preceded in death by parents; brother, Jerry Edward Goss; grandmother, Flora Lee Robinson; grandparents, Zack and Lillie Belle Goss.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura (Brian) Everett of Sparta, Tn; grandchildren, Jack Everett, Eva Everett of Sparta, TN; brother, Steve (Carole) Goss of Clinton, TN; sister-in-law, Peggy Goss of Clinton, TN; nephews, Justin (Manda) Goss of Knoxville, TN Ryan Goss of Alaska; nieces, Melody Ashlee of Oliver Springs, TN, Amber (Andres) Garcia of Atlanta, GA; 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew; extended family, Wayne & Judith, Sandra, Diane, Bradley, Kim and family; best friends, Darlene, Phyllis, Minnie, Carlene, Marie, Shelly.
Arrangements:
Visitation will be Thursday January 9, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. at Thurman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday January 9, 2025 starting at 4:00 pm at Thurman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bro. Bryce Murphy.
Graveside service will be Friday January 10, 2025 starting at 10:00 am EST at Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood, TN.
