Mrs. Lynell Townsend Carter, 87, of Keystone Heights, Fl passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Lynell was born April 18, 1935 in Jacksonville, FL to parents George Townsend and Lucille (Yeomens) Miller.Lynell married the love of her life, Leon Eugene "Buddy" Carter, which formed a union of 65 years until his death. She was a Christian, who loved her family, and loved traveling, music, flowers, and keeping in touch with her relatives and many friends.Lynell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings Kenneth, Myrna, Billy, and Suzanne. Surviving her are her children, Leon "Gene" Carter (Karen), Alan Carter, Nancy Lishen, Brenda Carter, and Pamela (Berny) Zellner; step-mother Bernice McCall, brother Charles (Marge) Townsend, sister-in-law Ruth (Larry) Burgett, brother-in-law Richard (Donna) Carter, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 12, at Penney Memorial Church, 4465 Poling Boulevard, Penney Farms, Fl. Visitation and lunch to follow.
